The bike shuts off while riding or shows a red light — where to look?

• poor connector contact — plugs under the phone holder and dash, the connector on the right under the plastic, connectors on the EX: press in, reconnect
• firmware — for many the problem went away after an update
• stuck or shorted buttons and the brake light switch
