How do I update the bike's firmware?

The bike's modem needs stable mobile internet (4G, not Wi-Fi). Usually the update arrives while charging or after a ride with good reception.

Per the manual: switch the bike on (On/Off button for 2 s). If the LED is magenta, the update is ready: hold + and − for 5 seconds. The chat advises holding up to ~12 seconds if it doesn't start the first time.

If it doesn't arrive

• fully shut down with the two buttons and switch on again
• write to Stark support with your VIN — they push the update
• check the modem and the SIM

Since app version 3.4.1 the update can be received via the Stark phone, without a modem connection.

The app version on the phone and the bike firmware are different numbers.
